ROY KIMHI BIO

Roy Kimhi, a dedicated Impact Producer and Filmmaker, thrives at the intersection of non-profits and media, boasting over a decade of experience collaborating with NGOs and media production companies worldwide, particularly in the impact media space.

At the age of 15, Kimhi's profound love for nature, especially the oceans, was sparked during his early dives and explorations along the captivating coasts of the Sinai Peninsula and the Red Sea. His journey into underwater photography and videography began there, eventually blossoming into a professional career as he became a certified diving instructor, submersible pilot, and underwater specialist. Kimhi's expertise spans diverse marine ecosystems, including the Red Sea, Indian Ocean, Yucatan underwater caves (cenotes), Pacific Ocean, Mediterranean Sea, Caribbean Sea, and the Indian Ocean.

During this period, he also served as Liveaboard Director of the Pelagic (Pacific) Fleet in Baja California and Project Manager of the SPOC Operation (Self Propelled Ocean Cage) for diving with great whites.

In 2019, Kimhi founded One Atmosphere, an independent impact media studio based in Israel, and began collaborating as VR Director and Producer with Amberjack Films. His commitment to environmental advocacy deepened through participation in the EcoPeace Water Diplomacy program in 2019, which he went on to lead the following year.

Between 2021 and 2024, as Regional Program Lead for Climate & Water Diplomacy, Kimhi played a pivotal role fostering cooperation among Palestinians, Israelis, and Jordanians to address shared climate and environmental challenges. His leadership helped establish a regional network for ongoing collaborative projects with EcoPeace Middle East.

Kimhi’s work bridges art, film, and environmental advocacy, fostering meaningful collaborations with renowned organizations such as National Geographic’s Pristine Seas, Sharks Alive, and The Green Blue Deal.
